Banani’s New Glasses

Banani buys a new pair of glasses.

He looks at himself in the mirror.

The frames are a little too loose.

Banani

I’ll have to go back and get them adjusted.

His wife calls him, and Banani gets startled.

Without realising it, he makes a surprised face.

The movement causes his glasses to slip off his nose and hit the floor.

Banani

Oh, no!

He picks them up and checks them over.

Banani

Ah, not a scratch. Thank goodness.

His wife calls him again.

His glasses start slipping once more, but this time Banani notices in time and catches them mid-air.

Basically, with these new glasses, Banani can’t make certain facial expressions without them sliding down his nose and falling off.

When he gets to work, Banani spends the whole day trying not to make any extreme facial expressions, catching his falling glasses on two or three different occasions.

The day passes peacefully until, in the crowded control room, the boss walks in with a serious expression.

Boss

Someone has seriously damaged the telescope.

Silence.

Boss

Can anyone tell me who did it?

More silence.

Boss

Fine. Whoever did it should know that, because of them, we’ve just lost our funding.

Silence.

A pair of glasses hits the floor.
