Papaia’s nephew is a football prodigy.

Papaia completes a FIFA course to become his agent.

After a few trials, scouts start showing an interest in the boy. Thanks to some word-of-mouth recommendations, Papaia manages to get in touch with one of the managers of a famous top-flight football club.

Papaia manages to meet the manager in person during a short break and introduce him to his nephew.

After their brief conversation, the manager hands Papaia his business card.

Manager

Here you go… my email address is on there.

Send me some videos of the lad as soon as possible so we can assess him.

Papaia

Erm… sure, sure.

The manager shakes his hand and leaves.

Papaia’s nephew is visibly excited.

Nephew

Come on, Uncle! Send him the videos right away!

Papaia

Erm…

Nephew

You did record some videos, didn’t you?

The next day, Papaia takes his nephew to training to film him in action.

The game starts, and Papaia follows his nephew’s moves with the camera.

Everything goes smoothly until his phone rings.

It’s a video call from Chantilly, Papaia’s spendthrift sister, asking him for yet another loan.

Papaia

What do you want…?

On the screen, Chantilly holds up a handbag.

Chantilly

Did you know there’s a sale on at the shopping centre?

Papaia

Sorry, but I haven’t got time right now. I’m doing something really important.

Just then, the ball reaches Papaia’s nephew, who is about to score a goal.

Papaia quickly ends the call and carries on filming.

A few days later, in the office of a professional football club’s coach, the club’s scouts are watching videos of prospective players.

Scout 1

This lad looks promising.

Scout 2

Agreed. Let’s see how he shoots.

Coach

Interesting… Look at this move…

On the screen, Papaia’s nephew receives the ball near the opposition’s goal and gets ready to shoot.

Just as he’s about to kick the ball, the video cuts out.

Chantilly appears on the screen, handbag in hand.

Chantilly

… The problem is, I’m already at the checkout, and your card’s been declined.

Papaia, Football Agent (Part 2) Papaia’s nephew is a football prodigy.
