\u201cLet\u2019s just say times are tough, and NASAL is making some extra money through its review channel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReviews? Ah, I see\u2026 At least it still has something to do with stars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boss
\u201cVery funny\u2026 It would be even funnier if one of you actually got a calculation right for once.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry, boss. This time Papaia only has to count to five\u2026 he can do it using one hand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia shows the tickets to the attendant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAh, you\u2019re the NASAL people here for the review! Come on in\u2026 we\u2019ve been expecting you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papaia
\u201cExcuse me, but isn\u2019t there supposed to be a line at the entrance?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attendant
(laughing)
\u201cNo! The fun is inside.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nobody understands what he means, but they go in anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once inside, the theme park is beautifully designed and visually impressive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The group chooses one of the attractions and gets in line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Half an hour passes, and they slowly move forward step by step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along the way there are elaborate environmental sculptures and character statues, music, and sound effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eventually, they reach the front of the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s their turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two park employees dressed as mascots open the barriers to let them through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFinally! I can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But after walking through a corridor, there is nothing at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just an exit leading back into the park plaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone stops, wearing expressions of surprise and disbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli
\u201cWhat happened? Where\u2019s the ride?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papaia
\u201cI think we took the wrong exit\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani
\u201cBut there was only one!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Igor
\u201cExcuse me, but apart from you guys, there\u2019s no attraction here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papaia
\u201cHmm\u2026 strange.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The group tries another attraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They get in line, slowly move forward for half an hour, and then come out into the middle of the park again, with no attraction to ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This goes on all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As they are leaving, Papaia asks an employee for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExcuse me, but how do we get to the rides?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat rides?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe ones that are supposed to be at the end of the lines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat do you need rides for when you have the lines?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papaia
\u201cHuh?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Employee
\u201cThis is the park with nothing but lines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papaia
\u201cBut how is that possible?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Employee
\u201cAccording to our market research, 90% of the theme-park experience consists of waiting in line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo we removed the other 10% and gave you a discount on the ticket.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBrilliant!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli
\u201cYou know what? The guy\u2019s right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy the end of the day, I\u2019m exhausted, my feet hurt, and I\u2019m completely zonked from that little tune playing over and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
