We\u2019re in Professor Faggioli\u2019s office, where Ravioli is undergoing evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Faggioli: All right. We’ve noted the stress eating\u2026 and also the fish in your pocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Faggioli pauses and flips through Ravioli\u2019s file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Faggioli: But here I see a third issue to address. Let\u2019s talk about the particle accelerator incident. Do you remember, Ravioli?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A high-tech setting, full of screens, chrome pipes, and automatic pizzetta dispensers. The particle accelerator is ready for the most important test of the year. The technician in charge is Dr. Atomini: meticulous, bespectacled, slightly nearsighted even with glasses. Ravioli watches him from behind a column, with a hungry gaze\u2026 not for food, but for the glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooling system: check. Synchrotron frequency: check. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Glasses? Glasses…? Where… are my glasses?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli, hidden in a corner, slips Atomini\u2019s glasses out of his pocket. He examines them carefully, puts them on, glancing cautiously around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RAVIOLI <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(to himself) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maybe\u2026 these are the right ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the experiment is about to begin, and a technician warns Atomini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TECHNICIAN <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(urgently) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doctor, time\u2019s running out, we need to proceed now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Atomini approaches the console. He squints, sighs. He misreads the buttons. There are three: \u201cSTART,\u201d \u201cCOOLING,\u201d and \u201cOVERLOAD.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ATOMINI <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(uncertain) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think it\u2019s\u2026 this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He presses the wrong button, triggering a loud alarm. The entire accelerator lights up, buzzes, and smokes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TECHNICIAN <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(shouting) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oh no! Irreversible damage! Quantum field compromised!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ATOMINI <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(devastated) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2026 I accidentally hit the overheating button!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TECHNICIAN <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(panicking) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fire! Fire! Call the fire department!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli pops out from behind, trying to look innocent, but the glasses are still on his nose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(staring at him in horror) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Awkward silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
IGOR <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli\u2019s done it again, stealing a colleague\u2019s glasses and causing the usual disaster. But Ravioli, why can\u2019t you get the urge to compulsively steal something useful? Like those piles of documents on my desk waiting to be photocopied!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
