Three scientists \u2014 Papaia, Banani, and Ravioli \u2014 and their assistant Igor, who work at NASAL, begin taking an interest in creationism. Their superiors, alarmed, send them to see a psychologist, Professor Faggioli \u2014 a shady character determined to get them fired by making them look insane.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are in Professor Faggioli\u2019s office, where Ravioli is talking about his childhood, when he used to hide the fish from his after-school snack in his backpack to avoid being forced to eat it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> Tell me about the cat. Have you had him for many years?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> During my childhood, I always had a cat. But the one I have now is only a year old. The one I had passed away last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> I’m sorry. Were you very close?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> It was more the other way around. It was the cat who followed me everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> He followed you? Why? I mean\u2026 you don\u2019t exactly strike me as the kind of guy cats follow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udd23\ud83e\udd23\ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> Well, actually, he didn\u2019t follow me. He followed my backpack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> Ah, I see\u2026 the one with the fish inside!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> Yes, but I used to hide it because otherwise, I\u2019d get found out\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> I get it \u2014 your mom, seeing the cat way too interested in your backpack, would have ended up opening it. And you didn\u2019t want that to happen, did you, Ravioli?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> No. But as the weeks went by, it got harder and harder to keep the cat away from the backpack. The rotten fish attracted him more and more. And in the end, he always managed to find it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> And still, it never crossed your mind to clean out your backpack!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> You see, Faggioli, I have to confess this happens to me often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> Not cleaning your stuff? Sorry, but to be honest \u2014 yeah, I kinda noticed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> No! I mean sometimes I see even the easiest problems as these huge, insurmountable obstacles\u2026 when the simple solution is right there in front of me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igor (off-screen):<\/strong> Like starting a diet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> Alright, but what did you actually do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> I hid the backpack in the most unlikely places. But the cat always found it. I tried every possible and imaginable spot: the closet, the storage room, the garage\u2026 but nothing worked! The cat always found it, trying to pull the fish out of the backpack!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faggioli:<\/strong> Of course the cat found it every time. Cats follow their noses! You didn\u2019t know that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli:<\/strong> Really? That\u2019s why!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli pauses to think. Faggioli buries his face in his hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igor (off-screen):<\/strong> Everyone in life has their own personal treasure.
For some, it\u2019s wealth. For others, fame. For Ravioli\u2019s cat\u2026 well! \u2026 it was a backpack full of rotten fish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all, as they say:it\u2019s not gold that makes your eyes sparkle\u2026but the aroma of aged cod!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
