Three scientists\u2014Papaia, Banani, and Ravioli\u2014and their assistant Igor work at the NASAL observatory. They come across some intriguing books and start getting into creationism. But their bosses don\u2019t like this new interest and send them to take a psychological test, which they must pass to keep their jobs.
We\u2019re at the entrance gate of NASAL, where the four, who arrived early, are clocking in.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: Guys, I\u2019m really worried about this test. I couldn\u2019t sleep a wink last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: Don\u2019t worry, Ravioli. You\u2019ll see, it\u2019s nothing serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: Oh, really? And how do you know that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: Ehm\u2026 I don\u2019t. I just wanted to cheer you up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: Papaia really made a mess this time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: Yes, Ravioli, but we also signed the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: Yeah, but our signatures are just a formality. Those boring reports, no one reads them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Apparently, the only one who doesn\u2019t read them here is you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: Yeah, Ravioli, you really should have read them! Now even you are at risk of losing your job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Every time you sign something, you take responsibility for it! Didn\u2019t you know that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: Ugh! So, it\u2019s not just clocking in and out anymore? Now I have to actually work too?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Sometimes I wonder if these people actually have a filter between their brains and their mouths!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: Speaking of which, I was watching a documentary on the Webb telescope, and it seems like every new discovery adds another problem for the Big Bang theory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Yeah, launching that telescope cost billions, yet instead of confirming the Big Bang, it\u2019s created quite the headache. They\u2019ll probably have to rethink everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: The funny thing is that the theory of a pre-formed universe, as the Bible claims, is never disproven by new discoveries!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igor: The truth sometimes hurts! Especially at the top, when they see their budget\u2026 in the red! I\u2019ve never seen anyone pay so much to be told\u2026 they\u2019re wrong!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Come on, let\u2019s move, or we\u2019ll be late for the test. We still need to find the room.
Inside the elevator, they don\u2019t know which floor to go to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: It was the sixth floor, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: No, Ravioli. You got it wrong. It was the third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: No! You\u2019re the one who got it wrong. The boss said the sixth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igor: Unfortunately, I was distracted and didn\u2019t hear anything. By the way, have you ever noticed that when the boss gets angry, his mouth goes crooked? Must be a nervous tic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Yeah, I saw you press 3. Why did you do that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: And now? What do we do if the right floor turns out to be 6?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Press 6 too, and we\u2019ll decide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: We\u2019ve arrived at the third floor\u2026 should I get off?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: Wait\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banani: The doors are closing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ravioli: Now we\u2019re at the sixth. What should we do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papaia: I don\u2019t know. What do you think, Igor?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igor: Let\u2019s put it to a vote!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lots of up and down, the four exit the elevator on the third floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igor: So we\u2019ve discovered that Papaia and the others don\u2019t remember anything from the past 24 hours\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026and we also know their jobs depend on a psychological aptitude test. From what I\u2019ve seen, if that\u2019s true, we can all relax\u2026 and get fired!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
