Three scientists\u2014Papaia, Banani, and Ravioli\u2014and their assistant, Igor, are supposed to attend the famous dark matter conference. However, they board the wrong flight and end up on the other side of the world. After arriving at the wrong airport, they book a hotel for the night, but it\u2019s not quite what they expected\u2026 meaning it\u2019s awful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani and Ravioli, due to unforeseen circumstances, decide to sleep on the floor in Papaia\u2019s room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are in Papaia\u2019s room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli wakes up from a nightmare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: Maybe I should check if that piece of paper on the wall actually exists\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He inspects all the walls using his phone\u2019s flashlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli (sighing in relief): No! There\u2019s nothing here\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He lies back down on the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: This heat is unbearable! The climate in this room feels like the equatorial rainforest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suddenly, his back starts to ache\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He looks over and sees Papaia and Banani sleeping deeply, snoring loudly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: I have to do something to make them stop. But if I wake them up, they\u2019ll be mad at me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He spots a broom in the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: \u201cI\u2019ve never seen a hotel room where they give you a broom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An idea comes to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: I can make that book fall using the broom handle. The book will drop near Banani, waking him up, but I\u2019ll be on the other side of the room, pretending to sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With extreme caution, he uses the broom handle to push the book toward the edge of the desk. The book slowly slides off and crashes to the floor\u2026 right next to Banani\u2019s ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli freezes, holding his breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani (barely turning, mumbling in his sleep): “Ah\u2026 string theory\u2026 interesting\u2026 zzz\u2026”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
