Three scientists\u2014Papaia, Banani, and Ravioli\u2014and their assistant, Igor, are supposed to attend the famous dark matter conference. However, they board the wrong flight and end up on the other side of the world. After arriving at the wrong airport, they book a hotel for the night, but it\u2019s not quite what they expected\u2026 meaning it\u2019s awful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Banani and Ravioli decide to go to Papaia\u2019s room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside Papaia\u2019s room.
After perhaps taking a bit too much advantage of Papaia\u2019s deep sleep, Ravioli and Banani start to feel tired themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u2019m finally starting to feel sleepy\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: Between one thing and another, it\u2019s gotten really late. And we definitely can\u2019t go back to those dusty, freezing rooms!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: You said it! You know what? I\u2019d rather sleep here, on the floor, in Papaia\u2019s room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saying that, the two lie down on the hard floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: Okay, so to summarize: the apostles wrote the Gospels between 10 and 40 years after Jesus’ death, either themselves or through their close collaborators. These manuscripts have been passed down to us practically unchanged, as proven by the thousands of copies we have today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: Exactly! And let\u2019s not forget the numerous quotes from the Church Fathers, which cover practically all the Gospels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: Plus, we\u2019ve seen that the disciples had no reason to lie about their testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: Right! The evidence shows their sincere belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: But there\u2019s one last question: what if the disciples misunderstood Jesus\u2019 teachings? Like when he said he was the Son of God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: Actually, it\u2019s the opposite. The Gospels show that the disciples didn\u2019t fully understand that Jesus was truly the Son of God until he himself explained it to them after the resurrection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: Oh, right! The disciples were devout Jews expecting a powerful Messiah, a military king\u2014not a humble preacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: Exactly. Even after seeing the miracles he performed, they considered him just a prophet, not the incarnation of God. So much so that when he was crucified, they were in shock, locking themselves in the upper room out of fear of the chief priests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: But everything changed with his resurrection!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ravioli: And that brings us to a crossroads. With all the evidence in front of us, we have to decide whether to consider the Gospels’ testimonies credible or not. What do you think, Banani?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But Banani, now too exhausted, starts snoring loudly. Ravioli, equally drained, closes his eyes and quickly falls asleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
