Papaia: Actually, the “nothing” you\u2019re thinking of isn\u2019t truly absolute nothingness\u2014it\u2019s a quantum vacuum, which is still something. If absolute nothingness really existed, it couldn\u2019t generate anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Banani: So my spontaneous particle can\u2019t exist?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papaia: Exactly. And even if it could, it wouldn\u2019t be an exception to the principle, because we\u2019d still need an explanation for the mechanism that made it appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
